Welcome to the Moravia-Locke Chamber of Commerce website.

The Moravia and Locke communities are in the southern part of Cayuga County, New York. They lie a few miles south of Owasco Lake in the Finger Lakes region of the State. With rolling hills, abundant streams, waterfalls, and woodland, the Moravia-Locke area is rich in natural beauty. Residents and visitors enjoy proximity to Owasco Lake, the Owasco Flats Nature Reserve, Fillmore Glen State Park, and Bear Swamp State Forest. Outdoor activities abound. Whether your passion is hunting, fishing, boating, camping, hiking, snowmobiling, or cross-county skiing, the Moravia-Locke area is ideal. The area also boasts an excellent golf course, wineries, and a small country airfield.

In addition to its natural beauty, the area has significant historical ties. Millard Fillmore, the 13th President of the United States was born and raised in the area. Oil tycoon, John D. Rockefeller, lived in Moravia as a boy, and Moravia's Powers Library is the oldest continuously used Library in New York State.

Residents of the Moravia-Locke area appreciate the rural/small town atmosphere and the area's excellent public schools. They also benefit from proximity to the small cities of Auburn, Ithaca, and Cortland (all just 20-30 minutes away). Finally, Moravia-Locke is only an hour's drive from the services and attractions of a larger city (Syracuse).
